Metro Mattress donates beds to 23 charitable organizations through its "50 Beds in 50 Days" program
Upstate New York's largest mattress retailer, is donating new beds to 23 charitable organizations in Rochester through its "50 Beds in 50 Days" program.
The program began in Central New York/Southern Tier in January and continued in Buffalo this spring and in Rochester during the summer. It will also take place in Albany/Mohawk Valley this fall/winter. A total of 200 beds will be donated in 2010.
In Rochester, more than twenty five 501(c)(3) organizations submitted applications requesting a total of nearly 700 beds. To date, more than 140 organizations from Central New York/Southern Tier, Buffalo and Rochester submitted applications requesting a total of nearly 3,200 beds from Metro Mattress.
