Metro Mattress presents the Second Annual Jim Boeheim Golf Classic
Metro Mattress is honored to present the Second Annual Jim Boeheim Golf Classic on July 23 at the Shenendoah Golf Club at Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Proceeds from the event benefit Coaches vs. Cancer, a subsidiary of the American Cancer Society.
The First Annual Jim Boeheim Golf Classic, in 2008, raised $75,000 to aid in research, education, advocacy and patient and family services through the American Cancer Society. "We were very pleased with last year's event," said David Shiroff, president and CEO of Metro Mattress. "This year, we hope to raise $100,000." Shiroff expects participation at this year's tournament to be nearly double what it was in 2008.
"The golf tournament was a huge success last year," said Boeheim. "We are looking forward to an even bigger success this year. With the help of Dave Shiroff and everyone at Metro Mattress, the American Cancer Society and our corporate partners, I think our goal of raising over $100,000 will be reached."
The Second Annual Jim Boeheim Golf Classic is an exclusive golf experience with unique individual and team competitions on every hole. In addition to the benefits of registration, all golfers will receive an 18-hole round of golf; an invitation to pre-golf lunch buffet and post-golf award banquet dinner; a gift bag filled with an abundance of Nike apparel and footwear courtesy of Nike; a golf performance assessment, injury evaluation, stretching and massage offered by Sports Physical Therapy; and a chance to tee off one hole with Jim Boeheim. Registered foursomes also receive a team name and logo on their cart, an autographed team photo with Jim Boeheim, a team mention by Jim Boeheim and logo recognition at the dinner.
Participation in the Second Annual Jim Boeheim Golf Classic is open to the public. The cost of registration is $1,000 per golfer and $4,000 per foursome. Those interested in participating can register at online at www.metromattress.com.
